Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning. Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Avoid using soap or detergent as odors may linger. For external cleaning, wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
Dusting the Condenser and Compressor
Once or twice a year, dust the condenser (black grill) and the compressor at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner. This helps maintain the appliance's performance and reduces electricity consumption.
Temperature Control
Adjust the thermostat to the correct position to maintain the desired temperature. Avoid frequent door openings to help maintain the internal temperature. Set the slider control to 'cold' when the ambient temperature is between 10°C and 16°C.
Avoid Overloading
Do not place large quantities of food in the appliance at once. Ensure there is adequate space for air circulation within the fridge and freezer.
Defrosting
The appliance is designed to be frost-free, so manual defrosting is unnecessary. Ensure that vents are not obstructed to prevent frost build-up.
